Christine Ulicki

Sempai Christine Ulicki - shodan (1st dan) Assistant Instructor

I started training with Sensei Phillip and Sensei Nancy in 2010 with my eldest child. I was always one of those kids who struggled in gym class, so I was quite surprised by how much I enjoyed karate. My child quit after a couple of years, but I had found my passion and continued. I convinced my husband to train as well and it is a fantastic activity to do together!

I primarily assist Sensei Nancy with the weekday afternoon classes and Sempai Natasha with the Tiny Tigers program. I have previous experience with youth as a Girl Guide leader and through volunteering at the YMCA preschool programs. I compete at provincial and national levels in the senior (45+) division as I believe it is important to both challenge myself and to be a role model for other females within our dojo. I have also attended training camps and seminars throughout Canada and the US.
